iDInstantDocView

About InstantDocView

InstantDocView started from a simple idea: you should not have to install software or upload a file to a stranger's server just to read a document someone sent you.

What you can do

  • Open documents: Hangul (HWP, HWPX), Word (DOCX), PowerPoint (PPTX), Excel (XLSX, XLS), CSV, PDF, plain text (TXT) and Markdown (MD). Open several files at once in tabs or side by side.
  • Edit: Edit Hangul (HWP, HWPX) documents in the browser and save them as HWP or HWPX.
  • Convert and extract: Extract text from HWP files and convert Excel or CSV sheets to JSON.
  • Writing help: Count characters, spaces and bytes for applications and forms.
  • Privacy: Automatically mask resident registration numbers, phone numbers, email addresses and card numbers.

How it works

Most online converters upload your file to their server and process it there. InstantDocView works the other way around: the page sends the document engine (JavaScript and WebAssembly) to your browser, and your browser does all the work. The documents you open are never sent over the network and are never stored on our servers. You can check this yourself in your browser's developer tools: open the Network tab, open a file, and you will see that no upload request is made.
